Having a baby – whether it be your first, second, or beyond – is one of the most exciting times in your life. However, it is also one of the most stressful times in your life.

You are constantly worrying about if everything is okay; you find yourself second-guessing each move and feeling. We understand that a pregnancy clinic you can trust is a vital aspect of having a pleasant pregnancy, which is why we recently opened New Baby Pregnancy Clinic in San Diego.

There are other ultrasound clinics in San Diego, other pregnancy clinics in San Diego, but we firmly believe that we are different.

Who Are We?

At New Baby Pregnancy Clinic, we are an ultrasound clinic in San Diego for women who are newly pregnant. But we are also a full-service prenatal clinic.

What makes us unique is that our business model gives you complete control of how you continue your medical care throughout your pregnancy.

We welcome our patients in at the point of their first ultrasound. There is something so special about seeing your baby for the very first time. From that point on, our patients can choose to stay with us and continue their prenatal care with Dr. Reddy, or you can choose to transfer your prenatal care to your own doctor or another provider of your choice.

The Importance of Prenatal Care

Before the big game, an athlete makes practice a top priority. Most athletes spend months practicing before the game day finally arrives. Students spend an entire semester preparing for those big exams. Top-level executives spend weeks rehearsing for an important presentation.

So, when it comes to welcoming a new life into this world, it only makes sense to spend months preparing for this next stage of life. Even if you have had a baby before, every pregnancy is different, so prenatal care is always important.

Some of the goals of prenatal care are to:

Lower the risks of complication during pregnancy

Growing a baby inside of you is no easy task – there are several different things that go into a healthy pregnancy. It is important that you are closely monitored regularly by a doctor to ensure that you are as healthy as can be. It can range from maintaining preexisting health conditions to identifying and managing those that are onset by pregnancy, such as gestational diabetes.

Lower the risks of complications for the fetus

Activities such as drinking alcohol during pregnancy can present to be a major problem for your unborn child. By having consistent prenatal care, your healthcare provider, like Dr. Reddy, can help you identify these risky behaviors so that you are not unknowingly putting your baby at risk for future complications.

Identify any potential issues early on

Ultrasounds and regular prenatal visits can help your doctor identify anything that might look off or be wrong with your baby prior to birth – this is important for a variety of reasons. In some instances, identifying these issues before birth means they can be addressed and resolved. In other instances, it can help your doctor identify the special care or precautions that might need to be taken during childbirth.

Identifying any issues early on is important for the health of both mom and baby, not only during the pregnancy but also during childbirth and beyond.

From eating right to taking prenatal vitamins to having regular checkups, several different things go into making sure both mommy and baby have the adequate amount of care during the nine months leading up to the big day – birth.

Our team is excited to meet all of our new ultrasound and prenatal patients in San Diego. See you soon!
